Vegetarian and vegan diets have been 'trending' recently more than ever before. Due to concerns about our health, our animal friends and our planet, more of us nowadays are moving away from animal-based foods and more towards a plant-based way of eating. It is easier today than ever before, with supermarkets and online retailers supplying plant-based options, but many of us still feel intimidated about making the switch. Will I get enough protein? Will I be lacking any vitamins? Can a plant-based diet support a healthy pregnancy, or allow me to reach my sporting goals? Can I still eat out and at home with my family?
Loretta Daley is here to answer all these questions and more.
A long-time sports massage and physiotherapist, ultrarunner and vegan, Loretta has been studying plant-based nutrition as a hobby since first going vegan in 1991. During the summer 2020 lockdown, she studied for a Level 3 Diploma in Vegetarian and Vegan Nutrition, passing with a Distinction.
